A Companion of Diana

This is from the blog "Different Strokes from Different Folks", check it out at http://differentstrokesfromdifferentfolks.blogspot.com/. They have a bi-weekly challenge of a photo that you redo in your own style, as you can see I like to use a lot of color. This challenge was of a marble sculpture of one of the goddess Diana's companions, a nymph and her hound. The marble sculpture was done by Jean-Louis Lemoyne, titled 'A Companion of Diana', commissioned by Louis XIV in 1724. Diana was goddess of the moon and of the hunt, this nymph is one of Diana's companions, with her hound. This sculpture belongs to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.
